TK Physio - Lanark

Physio & Rehabilitation in your own home. For age-related changes, long term conditions, following illness, injury or hospital admission in Lanarkshire & Central Scotland

Care Home Visits also available

I decided to start my own private practice in the community as it was becoming more difficult to rehabilitate people back to the level they wanted to be at or to be the best they could possibly be before they were sent home.

No matter how hard we tried unfortunately neither the inpatient or community NHS physiotherapy service has the capacity or resource to enable everyone to reach their full potential. This results in many people going home with less independence and greater care needs which can then spiral into future problems both physically and mentally.

Our NHS is a service to be cherished but I felt that I could do more good offering my services in the community and I really wanted to use my knowledge and skills to have the greatest impact for the people I work with. From personal experience I know how difficult it can be to find a physio with my skill set in the community that you can work with in your own environment and on your own terms for as long as you need them.

So, this is now what I offer to the wonderful people I have the pleasure of working with.

I bring my wealth of knowledge and skills to you in your own home to provide you with the rehabilitation that you need at the time that you need it.

I enable you to begin to take back control of your own life and enable you to have the best quality of life you possibly can.

I love seeing the changes in the people I have helped so far, if you would like to take a look at what some of them have said please see their testimonials.

I look forward to working with you and helping you to achieve your goals.

Tailored Physiotherapy

TK Physio is not limited by a set number of sessions, as NHS provision can be, which enables you to continue with your rehabilitation following illness or injury until you have reached your agreed realistic goal. We will work alongside you, including any family members/carers you wish to be involved, to help you to regain the maximum amount of function and independence that you can.

At TK Physio we know that most of our intervention comes following illness or injury however we very much advocate the importance of not waiting until it gets to this point.

So if you have noticed gradual changes in your balance, walking or how easy it is to get up out your chair Physiotherapy input can make a real difference to you now.

I am passionate about enabling you to reach your full potential through physiotherapy and rehabilitation and believe that having the opportunity to achieve all that you can has a huge impact on your quality of life as well as your physical and mental wellbeing.

I also appreciate how stressful it can be attending Physiotherapy appointments especially if you have any mobility issues so have taken all of that stress away as I come to you at home.

Don’t just take our word for it…

I suffer from severe COPD and had trouble walking any distance, by that I mean a couple of meters without stopping to catch my breath. Following an hour-long session with Tracy over a period of several weeks I can now potter about my garden and walk a much greater distance than before. She has much knowledge to learn from and I fully recommend.
— Pulmonary Rehab Client
Since starting to work with Tracy in her Pilates class I have noticed an improvement in my range of movement, core strength and postural imbalance. She is well organised, knowledgeable and professional and always patient, empathetic and encouraging. She has also been very flexible in her approach during the coronavirus situation.
— Helen (Pilates Client)
Whilst not having need of this young lady’s physio expertise as yet! I Have attended Pilates classes run by her for some years. I have greatly benefited from these as she has used her physio knowledge to maximise the benefits of the exercise thus the saying ‘prevention is better than cure
