What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a profession based on science, taking a ‘whole person’ approach to treatment, to restore movement, function, and most importantly, quality of life.

This is achieved through a combination of approaches including; education and advice for the client, movement and exercise specifically tailored to the clients issues, and manual techniques to facilitate better movement. Physiotherapy is suitable for people of all ages; it helps to facilitate recovery and enable greater independence for as long as possible.

We work with all demographic of clients that require physiotherapy including those living with long term conditions, older adults, those who have suffered a fall or an accident, people who have had an injury and are looking to return to sport or work and pre/post-operative clients. All of whom can achieve a better quality of life and function in activities of daily living and exercise following physiotherapy.

Physiotherapy helps to make you the best you can be!

We are committed to ensuring that clients receive the most effective intervention to enable them to achieve the best results possible through continued professional development.

What is Home Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy in your home can all too often be the only way for some people to be able to access physiotherapy treatment. At TK Physio we appreciate that it is not always possible for people to get to a physiotherapy clinic for treatment, due to various reasons including; lack of mobility, reduced confidence, having dependents at home or lack of transport.

However, we also truly believe that these constraints should not affect your ability to access Physiotherapy treatment, which is why we are proud to offer a home physiotherapy service. TK Physio will come to your own home and carry out a full assessment and treatment plan, all in the comfort of your own home, completely removing the need for our patients to travel to a clinic.

How can Physio help you?

Physiotherapy helps you to restore your movement, function and quality of life which may have been affected by injury, illness or disability. It can also help to reduce your chance of injury in the future. Physiotherapy is suitable for people of all ages; it helps to facilitate recovery and enable greater independence for as long as possible.

TK Physio are able to advise on and improve various aspects of everyday life, from posture and work related strains, to movement and exercises to improve mobility, strength and balance. Our clients range from; competitive athletes following an injury or who are looking to improve performance, to older adults who may be looking to regain a better quality of life following a fall.
